</div>This is really a question for your client software list rather than for<br>
geoserver. I do similar in with geoext, fetching the metadata link from<br>
geoserver WMSCapabilities call, and then creating hyperlink to it in my<br>
layertree (using Alexandre Dube's fine layerbuilder tree extension, you<br>
can put the href as a layer option). you could take similar approach,<br>
storing the link information and providing it to the context menu call<br>
as required.<br>
