[Psc] Ext.ux

Hello

I recently started some discussion on the dev mailing list on the
possibility of having Ext.ux type components (e.g. the color picker
Pierre has been working on) within GeoExt.

Given that there's currently no infrastructure out there for hosting
Ext.ux code Andreas suggested that we host the Ext.ux code we develop
in the GeoExt SVN, *but* outside the core of GeoExt, just like what we
do for Ext actually. This would make great sense to me, and I'm +1 on
going that path. What do you guys think?

We also need to decide whether we want to do code review, unit tests,
etc. for Ext.ux. I think I'd be +1 that the Ext.ux components we host
must be reviewed, because we'll have GeoExt components depending on
them.

Andreas also mentioned licensing. I don't see why Ext's ux exception
would not apply to the Ext.ux code we host. So I think we can safely
adopt BSD here.

The last thing I can think of regarding this is about
versions/releases. Would we want to have releases/versions of our
Ext.ux code base? Doing so would be a bit heavy I think, but not doing
so would force us to maintain backward compatibility, in the sense
that our Ext.ux code would need to work for every release of GeoExt.
This one's bothering me a bit.

Looking forward to your feedback.

Eric
