Sorry, the last thing I wanted to be is rude. :-)
Maybe, through my bad English, I managed to transfer my frustration for not
being able to accomplish what I want... But this is frustration with
_myself_ and my own lack of knowledge and the ever decreasing ability to
acquire new knowledge (unfortunately, it happens to all of us as we get
older, although it hits some of us faster ;-) ).
For that I apologize, once again. I was not accusing anyone for not doing an
excellent job! Obviously the developers of Geoext _are_ doing a wonderful
job. I mean, look at OpenGeo Suite. I was talking for years the world needs
something like this... (Obviously, I lack(ed) the knowledge to do it myself
;-) ). And Geoext is a major part of this - I just hope it'll work out
financially, and that all Geoext developers will get "a piece of the
action".

What I was trying to say is that I would _gladly_ pay to someone to teach me
(preferably), or to make a working example with my data (I could even
arrange some kind of VPN) that would search through my data - something
like before mentioned Geonames.... Unfortunately, all I could find is a
training course that is held 6 time zones away, at Opengeo facilities in
NY... I would gladly pay $450 for the course, but travelling expenses are
something else, and could easily set me back for thousands of dollars I
(again: unfortunately :-) ) do not have...

As for opensource, I'm all for it, and I try to help out as much I can, and
give it as much time I can spare. Given my "coding skills", I'm more helpful
with documentation and translation ;-). Recently I've translated QGIS UI
into Croatian, and I intend to do the same with manual, or at least some
portions of it, as soon as 1.4.0 version sees the light of day...
I would do the same thing for Geoext, but I feel I'm still very ignorant in
this field :-). I'm a Surveyor (B. Sc. in Geodesy/geoinformatics) so QGIS
was very familiar to use and translate, Javascript is a whole new field for
me...
But hey, I've learned something, and here is the solution, so I'm
contributing already :-):

The problem with the example (
http://www.geoext.org/lib/GeoExt/widgets/form/SearchAction.html) was solved,
thanks to Bart, so I guess the lesson learned is to wrap your code with
Ext.onReady(
function() {
....code.....
});
and to use Ext.form.FormPanel instead of Ext.form.Panel.

Best regards,
(and no hard feelings :-) )
