[Users] Sum of elements in a grid

Hi,

I´m trying to optimize the following little app which I have put together with 
geoext, geoserver and Openlayers,

I have already posted about the unusual behaviour between the layers...ie. when 
I change tabs on the grid and then go back to the first grid again, the 
corresponding layer isn´t clickable. I could get the result i needed though 
unfortunately

I am wondering if I should somehow take the zoom button out of the panel and 
just use a double click in the list. Would anyone know if there are any 
examples?  I would also like to show the total amount of items in each list and 
how many are selected? I couldn´t find any examples in Geoext to display this. 


Any help on these matters would be great,
