[Users] Timeline to port to Ext JS 4

Hi,

Sorry for my slow response! We are an academic project
producing open source software. Funding wise, I really couldn't find a
way to contribute.

Thanks for letting me know what the team think
about the tentative plan for ExtJS 4 migration. Before it is
implemented, as a temporary solution, I wonder any of you could try the
Ext JS 3 compatibility layer
(http://www.sencha.com/blog/ext-js-3-to-4-migration) to see if most of
geoext would work with the layer.

I may give it a try and report back.

Thanks,
Yan

Hi,
we are currently raisinfing funds for a joint effort to create a GeoExt version that is based on Ext JS 4. Don't cite me on this, but I'd say 6 months from now is realistic to have a release out.
If you are interested in joining the funding effort, please let us know.
Andreas.

Hi,

I learned that current version of GeoEXT is compatible to Ext JS 3.4+ <4.0. Does the development team have a time line for porting to Ext JS 4? We are in the planning stage to choose our geo UI development tools. If there is an expected date for the porting to be done, it helps a lot for us to make a decision.

Thanks,
Yan
