Hi,
Check the epsg code of your postgis table (geometry columns>srid) and the epsg code of the example. They must be the same.

Subject: [Users] geoext tutorial - wfs-t editor: save strategy not working.
Hi,
I am working through this tutorial...
http://workshops.opengeo.org/geoext/wfs/wfst.html
and have created the same example using a postgis table from my own installation.
I can modify and create new features in the html page, and when I save it seems to even update the grid by removing the little arrows in the grid rows, but the features are not being commited!
When I refresh the page, the edits are not there anymore.
Am I missing something here?
yours,
Robert Buckley
