Hi,

   Please, reply to the list.  Also, this thread is more suitable to the 
"user" mailing list

   About the extra info in the legend image, that's controlled by the 
WMS service.

   About the transparency : I proposed an alternate solution to your 
issue.  Other than that, I don't really know how you could solve your 
problem.
