[Users] tree layer

Hello list 
In this example it good for me to 
follow http://api.geoext.org/1.0/examples/tree.html but it quite complicated to 
change some thing, could you please give me an idea to change.

for instance topp:tasmania_state_boundaries, topp:tasmania_water_bodies.  etc 
how could I change it to state_boundaries or tasmania_water_bodies


and one more problem: how can i filter the tree layer if I dont want to 
automatically add more layer, because I used add.mapLayer(xxxx) many time and 
some map layers they are not necessarily to input on the tree views.
