[Users] Geoserver www static pages

I'm trying to put together geoserver on tomcat alongside an already existing IIS site we have.  I have used URL rewrite with pattern matching of geoserver.+  to catch inbound URL's and rewrite them to localhost:8080.  Everything works well except the static web aspect of geoserver; namely, localhost/geoserver/www - for some reason this will not resolve.  Has anyone else been down this road before?
