Hi,

You could see something similar at http://www.icc.cat/index.html?lang=eng

We use a servlet that generates a zip with kml file generated by OpenLayers from what you have drawn, sending data to servlet by method post.

I hope that helps you,

Toni

Tema: [Users] Drawing onto a map and saving the sketches

Hi,

I have just had an equiry about this case senario. "would it be possible to make sketches on a map (points, lines polygons and text) and be able to save them?"

I know there are openlayers function for drawing geometries on maps, but can they be saved? - This turns the whole thing into a complex editing environment in a postgis db for example as far as I can see.

Has anyone had experience with this sort of wish list?

thanks,

Rob
