Sorry...Andreas didn´t change the address...



I can change the opacity on a vector layer here.

The layer is loaded after a search has been carried out. Tha layer is called 
"suchergebnis". then with a rightmouse click, the opacity can be altered.

Hi,

to my knowledge, setting the opacity of vector layers has never worked in IE8. 
As you correctly stated, a workaround would be to set the opacity on the feature 
level.
