+Getting and Installing GeoServer
+--------------------------------

+You can get GeoServer from http://geoserver.org/display/GEOS/Download.
+
+Download the stable version (2.0.2 at the time this tutorial was written). Choose the binary format for an easy and unintrusive installation.
+
+Extract the downloaded archive anywhere on your system and follow the instructions in RUNNING.txt.

+Extract the gx_tutorial.zip archive in the geoserver-x.x.x/webapps/geoserver/www directory or move the extracted files if already unzipped.
+Note: you may have to create the www directory.
+
+You should now be ready to launch the following url in your favorite browser:
+http://localhost:8080/geoserver/www/gx_tutorial/doc/index.html
