Editing tools need to allow at least snapping IMO.  Otherwise they won't
be used for "real" GIS/drawing work.  A personal wish I have is to be
able to position a point or a vertex at specific coordinates, but I
understand that may not be a requirement for a 1.0.  Snapping is though
IMO.

For me, one real weakness of most web mapping interfaces is the lack of
serious editing capabilities.  Users around me will find GeoExt
compelling when they can tell their customers they don't need ArcView
anymore to add new features and for that we need at least snapping, as
mentioned above.  The closer to the idea of web GIS GeoExt is, the more
compelling it will be.
