Well, I was answering the other Chris' question "What makes GeoExt a
compelling mapping toolkit?" largely based on the feedback of users
around me.  There is no question that GeoExt is ready for 1.0 almost as
is though, but to make it "compelling" will take more than the ability
to view data and have limited editing capabilities.

The whole point is what is the scope of a "desktop-style GIS app" ?
Again, no question GeoExt rocks and will rock even more with all the ux
goodies on the backburner.
