[Users] How to set the opacity slider with the current active layer ?

Dear GeoExt users,

I am facing an issue in trying to configure the opacity slider to make 
him able to change of layer "on the fly".

The code I use for the tree panel is the one from GeoExt examples page :
http://api.geoext.org/1.1/examples/tree.html

The code is use for the opacity slider comes from the same source (Map 1) :
http://api.geoext.org/1.1/examples/layeropacityslider.html

How could I use the "active layer" function of the layer tree to set a 
layer in the opacity slider ?
